Regent Singapore is set to exit IHG’s system on December 31 to join Hilton under Conrad Singapore Orchard-name on January 1, 2023.
The property will undergo extensive renovations, and the 440-room hotel is expected to be fully open in the first quarter of 2024. The food and beverage outlets will be available during the renovations.

This hotel has a fascinating past.
It opened as Pavilion InterContinental in 1988 and was reflagged as Regent in 1992. It became known as Regent Singapore, a Four Seasons hotel from 1998, and became a “normal” Regent in 2019 (no association with Four Seasons).
So, from InterContinental to Regent to Four Seasons to Regent and soon to be Conrad. So, that is quite a branding run.
It is one of the few branded hotels in Singapore that I have not yet stayed at. However, I must put it on my list for a visit next time when I am in the city.
The same group owns the current Conrad in Singapore and hence the ability to have two hotels in the city under the same brand.
An exclusive radius rule usually guarantees no other hotels under the same brand within a specific area. For example, I believe the InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay is 50 to 100 meters outside InterContinental Singapore’s exclusive perimeter.
