It is unclear IF these bonus points are tied to the rate you book (like the Cyber Sale rate) OR if they are available for all new paid reservations made between November 28 – December 2. We should soon learn
Save More On Reward Nights
IHG has several award discount promotions throughout the year that we always cover. The discount has been 15% or 20%, which is likely the case this time as well. Unfortunately, you cannot combine this with the credit card fourth-night free promotion.
Big Savings On Travel Items:
IHG has had merchandise rewards for a while, although they were taken off at the beginning of the pandemic. You can essentially buy stuff using your points. This makes sense only if you have no other use for your points.
Conclusion
The bonus points offer can be great if it is valid for ALL paid rates and not only Cyber Sale ones (not always great).
The reward night discount offer works well for those that don’t have an affiliated credit card with a fourth-night free option.
The buying stuff makes sense if you never plan to use your IHG One Rewards points for hotel award stays.
