Marriott Bonvoy & Uber Customers Can Earn 3,000 Bonus Points For Linking Accounts By December 31, 2022

Marriott and Uber have launched an offer for 3,000 points to get Bonvoy members to link their accounts with the UBER App by December 31, 2022.

Marriott Bonvoy members can earn 3,000 bonus points by simply linking the Uber account with the Bonvoy membership, and no purchase is required in order to qualify for this credit.

Both partners have run a couple of promotions in the past year to get members to sign up, and since this current offer is for first-time registrants only it’s likely that most can’t take advantage of it.

Marriott has sent emails to members inviting them to link both of the accounts:

When you’re linked, you can earn every day on qualifying orders with Uber Eats and select rides with Uber throughout the U.S. Offer ends December 31.

There have been promotions in the past to get members to sign up, the latest one in September, where a small sum of 1,000 points was offered for an actual order.

Note that the Marriott and Uber partnership is only valid for the United States. You won’t earn Marriott Bonvoy points for regular Uber rides.

Here is the Marriott Bonvoy Uber earnings rate:

3 POINTS PER DOLLAR

• on select rides with Uber (includes UberXL, Uber Black, Black SUV, and Uber Comfort).

6 POINTS PER DOLLAR

• when you place a qualifying order with Uber Eats while staying at a hotel within the Marriott portfolio.

2 POINTS PER DOLLAR

• when you place a qualifying order with Uber Eats at home or on the road.

Overall it’s definitely worthwhile to sign up, especially when you have a bunch of credits to use, such as American Platinum card members who have a monthly credit amount at their disposal.

Conclusion

This is a small bonus for Marriott Bonvoy members who use Uber services in the US. It makes sense to link your accounts and collect the points when riding on Uber’s premium services or ordering through Uber Eats.

It’s not necessary to actually order anything for the 3,000 points, so if you haven’t done it yet it’s definitely worthwhile to like the accounts during the promotional period.
