Hyatt Buy Points 25% Off Through January 19, 2023

World of Hyatt has launched yet another promotion to buy points at a 25% discount through January 19, 2023.

Members can buy up to 55,000 points every calendar year before any possible bonuses, and Hyatt has several opportunities for buying points throughout the year.

You can access this offer and check your bonus or discount on Hyatt’s website here.

READ MORE: World of Hyatt Rate & Bonus Points Offers

World of Hyatt points sales usually offer a maximum 40% bonus or 30% discount during regular sales. This current one would sit comfortably in that zone as well.

The cost of a World of Hyatt point purchased under this offer at 25% off is 1.8 cents each. During the previous sale, the price of a point was 1.68 cents.

Does it make sense to purchase points at this price?

It only makes sense if you use them at costly Hyatt properties such as the Park Hyatt Maldives, Kyoto, or Tokyo. However, sometimes the lower category properties can often make sense when the paid rates are high. Otherwise, buying at such a high price makes only limited sense.

Award rooms with Hyatt are available as long as standard rooms are available for sale. This means that points are usually a good value if something is going on in the city, bringing the paid rates throughout the roof.

It’s worthwhile to check what the current points rates are if you have a particular stay in mind. With Hyatt now having introduced Peak/Off-Peak awards, there is no longer a firm amount of points, and this can make or break the case if it’s worthwhile to redeem, let alone buy points.

Conclusion

Hyatt sells its points at a bonus or discount continuously throughout the year. So if you don’t need World of Hyatt points right now, you can buy them later.

Usually, Hyatt alternates between a discount and a bonus amount for the points purchases. This is a significantly higher price than what they sold them last time. I would take a pass unless you need points right now.

Here are the terms and conditions of this offer:

Offer available with purchases made between 12:00 am ET December 19, 2022 and ends 11:59 pm ET January 19, 2023. Purchase 3,000 or more Bonus Points in a single transaction and get 25% discount. Bonus Points will be awarded upon completion of an individual transaction. In order to participate in a purchase transaction, you must be a member for at least 60 days to purchase or receive Bonus Points. Bonus Points can be purchased in increments of 1,000, up to 55,000 points per calendar year. Members can receive points in increments of 1,000, up to 55,000 points per calendar year. Through January 19, 2023 members can purchase up to 110,000 points. This exclusive member offer is non-transferable. Additional Bonus Points awarded under this offer do not count towards these maximums. Offer may be withdrawn or changed without notice. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer.
