India Requires Negative Covid-19 PCR-RT Test If Arriving From Five Countries

India has re-instituted a mandatory negative Covid-19 PCR-RT test for arrivals from five high-risk countries.

Passengers arriving from these countries must upload a negative PCR-RT test result before being allowed to board the flight. In addition, India will also randomly test 2% of all arrivals.

Passengers from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Thailand need to have a negative test to enter, and they will be quarantined if there are any possible symptoms of Covid-19 or a positive test result.

They currently don’t have to halt flights from countries (China) deemed high risk.

Conclusion

Health Minister has cited China, which is going through its first nationwide wave of infections, as a reason behind this testing.

I guess they had to include random other four countries not to appear testing only flights from China.
