The UK, France, and Spain joined several other countries, such as the United States, Italy, and Spain, requiring a negative Covid-19 test or vaccination certificate for arrivals from China.
China removed all internal cover restrictions after Christmas and no longer requires quarantine from international arrivals, effective January 8, 2023.
UK/England
Passengers arriving from China will require a negative covid-test from January 5. In addition, there will be on-arrival sample testing from January 8.
France
Passengers from China must have a negative covid-19 test before travel.
Spain
Passengers from China must have digital proof of vaccination OR a negative covid-19 test. There will also be compulsory on-arrival testing from China arrivals from 6 PM on December 31 through January 3.
Conclusion
There seem to be restrictions popping up for travelers from China, and some also lump Hong Kong and Macao into the same group.
The EU hasn’t decided yet about a blockwide testing requirement, but something may be in the works.
