United Airlines hasn’t published an official statement about MileagePlus status extensions for a couple of years but has quietly extended them to many members (while trying to get revenue from others).
United on Friday has quietly extended member tiers to some, if not all, members in Hong Kong. I am sure that members in mainland China, Macau, and Taiwan have also seen theirs extended by an additional year.

A note from the reader:
As a Premier Gold based in Hong Kong, United quietly extended my membership til Jan 2024. There was no email communication (yet) and I didn’t fly enough to requalify last year (however I did requalify in 2021).
United quietly extended tiers in 2022 as well:

Conclusion
United extensions for the last time shouldn’t come as a surprise because airlines operating in the area have done blanket extensions.
Remember that China just reopened this past Sunday, and Hong Kong relaxed its entry requirements without quarantine in late September.
Not sure if MileagePlus members in other parts of Asia saw their tiers extended by 12 months too?
