This is regarding your post on Qatars double q points promo that is currently running.
I am trying to claim my double q points from qatar. I bought my ticket 8 January 2023 and I read on their website that the promo is for tickets purchased on/after 8 January. Qatar is now coming back to me and saying that the promo is for tickets purchased after 15 January. This is very strange, as I clearly saw 8 January on their website and upon checking again today I see it has been changed.
What I am asking is if you perhaps have a screen shot or some sort of proof that there terms and conditions stated tickets purchased 8 January – 31 March.
Qatar Airways sent out an email about this double Qpoints and other offers on January 15, 2023, but the email itself doesn’t contain the T&Cs of this offer.
I remember I was slightly surprised that the offer had already been valid for a week before Qatar Airways let Privilege Club members know about it.
The original valid booking and travel dates of the double Qpoints offer were:
- Sales period: 08 January 2023 to 31 March 2023
- Travel period: 08 January 2023 to 30 June 2023
The valid dates now are:
- Sales period: 15 January 2023 to 31 March 2023
- Travel period: 15 January 2023 to 30 June 2023
We don’t take screenshots of these offer T&Cs, but they are always included at the end of each post. Qatar Airways changed them after publishing this offer by a week from January 8 to January 15.

Qatar Airways must have originally planned to launch this offer on January 8 but then moved the date to January 15, but someone forgot to change the promo T&Cs.
Qatar Airways should honor the original promo T&Cs for members, but knowing the quality of Qatar’s customer service and their inability to think clearly, this might be an uphill battle unless you live in a country with strong consumer protection.
