Finnair Turns 100 In November 2023

Finnair has started to tease its 100^th anniversary, which takes place on November 1, 2023, although the airline had its first flight on March 20, 1924.

The airline was founded as Aero Oy (and hence the two-letter code AY) that was used until 1953, when Finnair branding took over.

I imagine we will see centennial-related promotions later in the year closer to the November 1 date.

Finnair is the sixth oldest airline (that has continuously operated since its founding), and only KLM, Avianca, Qantas, Aeroflot, and Czech Airlines (one plane) are older.
