A powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake has hit parts of Mexico this week and destroyed vital infrastructure including parts of Mexico City International Airport that had to close/ limit operations for the past days.

When I first write about the Hilton HHonors promotion of triple miles with select airlines for stays in the Latin America, Caribbean and Canada there was an unfortunate typo on Hilton’s website for this offer (as far as I can tell – or maybe I made a mistake). They listed hotels that had decided to opt out from this offer when these hotels were actually the ones participating.
