Avianca LifeMiles has just published a new Singles Day promotion with up to 140% bonus for purchasing miles during the next four days until November 12th, 2018.
American Express today announced that its Membership Rewards program members in the United States can soon start transferring their points to Avianca LifeMiles.
Avianca LifeMiles allows members to redeem their points online for flights with Star Alliance airlines and they tend to have almost never ending miles sales as well.
Avianca LifeMiles made some changes to its Star Alliance award charts back in October 2017 (read more here) when it introduced separate charts for flights with zones 1, 2 and 3 for both United States and Europe. The airline also tweaked its own award chart this March (read more here).
Seems that the airline has now incorporated these United States and Europe zones to its main award chart (and perhaps slightly raised number of miles required between destinations to/from some parts of the United States and Europe) and introduced intra-Brazil awards at TPM (ticketed point mileage) levels.
Avianca operates their B787-800s on all their long-haul routes from Bogota to Europe (MAD/BCN/LHR) and also on some of their North- and South America routes.
I recently had the chance to try both their economy and business class products on this aircraft on the Barcelona to Bogotá route. Last week I reviewed their economy class product, and this week it’s time for their business class product review.
