Hilton Honors continues to match to Gold status for 90 days during which the member can retain it or advance to Diamond. The status is now valid through March 2022.
Hilton has expanded its global travel waiver that is now valid for stays through and reservations made by June 30, 2020 (was going to expire on April 30), due to the on-going coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Cancellations fees are waived, and any prepayments refunded as long as you cancel your stay minimum 24 hours before your intended stay even past June 30 if you book them by that date.
Hilton Honors just updated status extension and points expiry policies due to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and it is more generous than what I expected.
Members who didn’t meet the status requirements in 2019 and were about to be downgraded on March 31, will see their status extended by a year through 2021. Those that qualified Silver, Gold, or Diamond status for 2020 will see theirs extended until March 2022.
Hilton Honors has launched a new points sale at a 100% bonus that is valid for two months through May 27, 2020.
Members can usually buy up to 80,000 points every calendar year before any bonus, although the limit is doubled to select if not all members (check the purchase page).
American Express has Hilton have launched a 50% conversion bonus for Membership Rewards to Honors through April 14, 2020.
The offer is likely only available for Amex cardholders in the United States. Membership Rewards program conversion rates and offers are country-specific and sometimes even account specific.
Hilton Honors announced on Chinese social media back in February (read more here) that they would extend status and points expiry for members in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

The offer is valid for stays through October 11, 2020, and also comes with a 15% off Food & Beverage discount. You must book this offer by March 20.
Honors sent out additional messaging on Saturday to members who have rewards night certificate instruments on their accounts or will be issued them. All existing and new reward certificates issued until August 30 are valid through August 31, 2021.
