Marriott Bonvoy has launched a new status match with a challenge for members with elite status with Accor, Hilton, Hyatt, or IHG.

Eligible members will see their Marriott Bonvoy status elevated to Gold or Platinum for 90 days, during which they need to complete the challenge to keep the status through February 2022.

Hyatt has launched a rate offer that they try to position for those that wish to change the scenery a bit and possibly to work out from a resort.

World Of Hyatt Celebration Offer Bonus Points Through December 31, 2022

World of Hyatt has launched a new bonus opportunity for members that book any type of celebration at participating hotels.

Members bust request offer code GATHR at the time of requesting the quote. Members can earn up to 150,000 bonus points, and the lowest spend to qualify for any bonus is $5,000.

Bali Hotel Marketing Entering Another Phase, Low Prices At Grand Hyatt Bali For Indonesian Citizens/Residents


Over the last couple of months we have seen some very good deals for various hotels in Bali and I just noticed another campaign that showed up on Facebook for the Grand Hyatt Bali Nusa Dua where I’m usually staying several times per year.

Hyatt Extends Mandatory Face Covering Requirement To Entire Americas

Hyatt announced back in July that it would follow the AHLA’s Guest Checklist and require all guests to wear a face mask in the United States and Canada.

Now, Hyatt is extending this requirement to all hotels in the Americas from August 10, 2020. There can be government-mandated mask covering requirements outside of this area as well.

Hyatt Financial Update: Revenue Down 89% In Q2 & 120+ Hotels Still Closed


Hyatt yesterday released its second-quarter numbers after the market was closed, and, as expected in this environment, they weren’t pretty.

The overall revenue was down 89% (April, May & June), and the chain still has 120+ hotels closed (most of those full service & higher number of rooms than Hyatt’s average) as of July 31.

Hyatt Gives Up On Park Hyatt Mallorca


Park Hyatt Mallorca has closed for good, and Hyatt management has turned over the keys to its owners.

The hotel has been closed since March 15, 2020, and it is not expected to reopen before March 2021.

Hyatt’s Newest UrCove Brand Opening In Shanghai October 1, 2020


Hyatt made an announcement back in 2019 that they are developing a new brand called UrCove with a Mainland Chinese hotel chain Homeinns for the local market.

World of Hyatt has now finalized its program terms for UrCove in time for the opening of the first property in Shanghai this October 1, 2020 (date can change).

Hyatt Hotels In United States & Canada Require Face Covering From July 27, 2020


Hyatt followed Marriott’s announcement (read more here), making face coverings mandatory at its hotels in the United States and Canada effective next Monday (July 27, 2020).

The face-covering is required within indoor public areas such as restaurants and bars, lobbies, and fitness centers.
