World of Hyatt has apparently implemented a new anti-customer measure at their Globalist hotline as agents were instructed that they shouldn’t call the property anymore if there are issues with individual reservations.

Hyatt made a commitment back in 2012 to remove all shark fin products from its restaurant menus and confirmed that this was effective as of May 2014 (read more here). Now, however, shark fin products are back at Hyatt affiliated hotel(s).

World of Hyatt Adds Two More Tokyo Hotels Under “Small Luxury Hotels” Flag, Now Available For Points Redemptions
World of Hyatt members now have the option of staying and redeeming points at two additional hotels in Tokyo, Japan as the program added the properties under the “Small Luxury Hotels of the World” brand.
Hyatt and Small Luxury Hotels of the World started a partnership in December 2018 that allows World of Hyatt members to earn and use their points at select hotels and have limited benefits.
This partnership has now extended to more than 200 properties as Hyatt yesterday added more than 40 hotels to their selection.
U.S. Travel Association Daily Getaways are back in 2019 (started yesterday – read more here) for their 10th anniversary and they have now released the offers for weeks 4 and 5.
Public can purchase hotel points, car rental vouchers and various accommodation certificates at a discount from May 6 to June 4, 2019.
