InterContinental Hotels Group appears always have innovative marketing campaigns. They just announced on Twitter their latest Black Friday themed promotion, where one can earn $100 flight credit for two nights weekend stay.Of course it isn’t that easy. There are few hoops for one to go through to actually collect the credit. This promotion is only available for residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced this past spring their latest reward night promotion in addition to point breaks. Every first full week of month they would announce rewards night special at 50% discount for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday stays for the same week.
This promotion is a great way to save points if you can take advantage of it. The booking window is really short Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for arrivals the same weekend. Of course you really cannot plan anything around these specials. If you happen to be traveling in a city where they have them or living in one and thinking of having a staycation, it is a great way to save big on Priority Club points.
InterContinental Hotels Group’s flagship brand, as the name suggests, is InterContinental Hotels and Resorts. The entire groups loyalty program is called Priority Club.
You earn Priority Club points or airline miles for your InterContinental stays. Possible Priority Club status Gold or Platinum, however, doesn’t apply to Intercontinental as they have their own Ambassador program.
InterContinental Hotels Group Keeps Changing The Terms Of Their Best Price Guarantee And Not For the Better
A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the new “most powerful” best price guarantee in the hotel industry. IHG promises the first night to be completely free if you find a lower price after booking on another website.
How to Find Out If You Have Been Upgraded At InterContinental Hotels Group Hotels? Here’s the Solution!
As you have probably already noticed, getting upgrades at hotels and airlines, based on the status I have with them, is very important for me. Typically I always check the website in the morning if the hotel has already processed their upgrades, and what kind of upgrade they have assigned for me.
Here’s a trick that you can use to check if you have been upgraded in advance at any of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) hotels that include InterContinental Hotel, Crowne Plaza, Staybridge Suite, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Candlewood Suites.
InterContinental Hotels Group – Priority Club Brand Multiplier Promo – Earn Up To 80K Points & Ambassador Exclusive Promo
Earlier today I was searching for some exciting Priority Club promotions, as I have quite a few IHG stays lined up in the next couple of months.
Priority Club, Intercontinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) loyalty program has always been very active, and some would say very generous at times, on the promo front and this autumn is not an exception. When I was searching for promos this fall, I came across the following two.
Two weeks ago I wrote about a new price guarantee from the InterContinental Hotels Group where guest would get a first night free if a lower rate is found within 24 hours after making the reservation. I tried the guarantee by myself and got entirely free one night stay at the InterContinental Sao Paulo.
When I was booking an InterContinental property earlier in the week, I noticed a huge banner advertising their new low price guarantee.
Apparently InterContinental Hotels Group is so convinced that the prices offered through their various online websites are the lowest that they are willing to give you the first night free and discount subsequent nights by 10%.
Over the years I have used Marriott’s Look No Further guarantee few times and it has worked out pretty well. Also Starwood is offering similar guarantee that I have used handful of times. I have no personal experience of the Hilton’s and Hyatt’s similar guarantees. Quite frankly the latter two have not been worth the effort.
